Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving party with some of our friends.  We made some fun crafts and then ate a "kid friendly" Thanksgiving dinner.

Liv enjoyed making an Indian head dress and vest

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house.
Most of our family was able to be there, including my sis and her family from Idaho.
(too busy eating to look at the camera)

We had a great day of eating, chatting, napping and spending time with our family; the best thing to do on the day we celebrate our many blessings.  Our family is one of the greatest blessings we have!

And of course, we ended the day with planning our strategy for our HUGE shopping trip the next day!

We love this time of year!

Leaves, Leaves and More Leaves

We love the huge trees that line our street....especially in the fall
(although I may or may not curse them while I'm raking :))
Liv especially loves them.

A somersault?  Why not?

Halloween

We had our annual Halloween party with some of our great friends: the Goughs and Blakes.
Since it was only a few days after my surgery, Kirk and I both used our "assets" as our costumes.  Me, my cast, and Kirk his "blasted" beard.  Thankfully, our costumes were not indicative of how fun we had!

Olivia and McKayla checking out their loot

Gus

Dax
(his costume didn't last long)

And the night FINALLY came!
We trick-o-treated around our neighborhood this year and it was great!
The rain stopped just long enough to let us go around our neighborhood and get home before it started again.

Good thing we had warm costumes

Back home and checking out the loot

With daddy's help

He showed her how he used to sort it as a little kid.  She loved it.

Dax loved it too
(but for different reasons: he had a great time loading and unloading his loot)

Pre-Halloween

While Grannie was here, and two days after my surgery, we attempted to go a little Halloween carnival at the District put on by South Jordan city.  We met my two sisters there, Linsey and Jill, and with their kids we enjoyed some of the activities.  There were TONS of people there.  One could barely move.  Maybe not such a great idea on crutches!

Face painting and candy....perfect party

Cousin Carter

My mom had her annual Halloween party a few days early this year. It was really great to still have Kitty here to help me with the kids.

Not phased by this suit!  Cheese!

The title princess fits her so well

Uncle Josh dresses up every year with his friends, this is his getup this year.....hahaha!
